With the advent of technology and invention of new computing devices rapidly, it become necessary for everyone to use key board either for input or output. Nobody cares what technology the companies come up with next, ‘typing skills’ are indispensable. Computer skills are very much required in every stage of student’s career, starting from 1st semester in graduation. If students get imparted this skill while in school or college, it will be a big asset for them in the future. Though, nobody will test you on typing skills, it will help immensely if you have this skill.
In an organization, every employee except people who don’t work with electronic devices is required to input data through key board, whether it is an email communication, instant messaging, preparing ‘documentation and help’ for software products or writing content for informative websites. In such scenario, a skill of typing fast without errors improves the professional demonstration of an individual and also saves his or her time.
Moreover, typing in a word processor is significantly easier than on paper, as it will be flexible for correcting for any number of mistakes, which is not an easy task while writing on paper with pen or pencil. Hence, it saves time and efforts in a better way. One can notice that even children studying in primary schools are finding it easy to type than writing down words using pen or pencil. It’s also found that ‘typing skills’ is the second thing on the list of top time saving methods in any official work. It’s almost impossible, in this fast changing world without using a computer.
